Our grouper comes from our innovative, land-based aquaculture in Kiel. The neck piece from our GOOD GROUPER is a special highlight for gourmets due to its juiciness, tender texture and intense umami taste. Thanks to its high fat content, the neck piece remains wonderfully juicy when fried or grilled and unfolds its full-bodied variety of flavors. There are no limits to the preparation. Whether pure as a grilled dish, in stews, raw as sashimi or deep-fried, the grouper neck piece is special in every form.

Sustainable neck piece delicacy for gourmets


Our GOOD GROUPER comes from sustainable fish farming on the Kiel farm of our sister company, Oceanloop. Instead of overfished wild catches, we rely on gentle land-based aquaculture , relieve the burden on natural stocks and shorten transport routes. Thanks to a closed circuit system without antibiotics, we guarantee the highest quality and purity . Our energy and water efficient plant enables fresh, environmentally friendly production. The neck of our grouper is a particularly juicy, fatty and flavorful cut, taken from the area between the gills and the rest of the animal's body. It contains a lot of umami and is very forgiving when cooking, as its high fat content means it doesn't dry out as easily as fillets.

Versatile processing options


The neck piece of the grouper is particularly easy to prepare, for example by grilling, baking or frying. With dry heat (grill or oven at 220°C), the neck piece develops a crispy surface and still retains its juiciness . Alternatively, it can be steamed, deep-fried or used in soups and stews. Since the grouper neck piece harmonizes wonderfully with Asian flavors, we recommend a crispy fried grouper neck piece in a marinade of soy sauce and sesame with a light miso glass noodle vegetable. The delicious dish is prepared in less than 60 minutes.

  • The quick version - for those who decide at short notice: If you are in a hurry, it is possible to defrost this product in a water bath within 1 hour. The water should be cold to lukewarm.
