The refined texture and intense maritime flavor of the tender mussel meat combine to create a true culinary experience, while the rich mussel juice is released during cooking. As for the exterior, we affectionately call the clam the “heart of the sea.” Why? Because their casing looks like a tiny love heart - the oceans are definitely sending you kisses from the depths!
Our clams undergo a state-of-the-art high-pressure process (HPP) that gives them inviting, slightly opened shells. A gentle hint of the ocean already exudes when you free these delicacies from their packaging. Before preparing it is important to wash the mussels several times under cold water.
Our preparation tip: Put the mussels in a pot and pour 100 ml of water, wine or stock over them. Now continue cooking with the lid closed until the mussels have opened completely.
What really sets the clam apart is its ability to bring an unprecedented depth of flavor to dishes like pasta and risotto. Their juicy tenderness and rich sea flavor combine harmoniously with the flavors of sauces, herbs and spices to give you a unique culinary experience
