Product description

Enfant de la Montagne: Where quality meets passion

In the heart of the Montagne de Reims, Premier Cru vineyards yield distinctive Champagnes that reflect a true sense of terroir. Clémence and Adrien Bertrand-Delespierre, the third generation of the family-run estate, craft fresh, delicately fruity, and vibrant Champagnes. Gentle aging—partly in oak barrels, with spontaneous fermentation and no malolactic conversion—produces precise, expressive wines that age on the lees for an average of four years. The conversion to organic farming reinforces its commitment to authenticity and terroir-driven winemaking.

Enfant de la Montagne brings together the three classic main grape varieties of Champagne – Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. The cuvée is aged in oak and stainless steel and contains 40 % reserve wine. Juicy and floral, it shows vibrant fruit, fine acidity, and structure—a fresh, energetic Champagne with remarkable depth and character.

Origin

The Bertrand-Delespierre family winery was founded in 1980 through the marriage of Chantal Delespierre and Didier Bertrand. Today, their children, Clémence and Adrien, represent the sixth generation of winemakers and have taken over the reins of the domaine in recent years. The 10-hectare estate encompasses over 50 parcels spread across four Premier Cru villages in the heart of the Montagne de Reims: Chamery, Écueil, Villedommange, and Montbré. Committed to sustainable viticulture, Clémence and Adrien are steadily converting to organic farming. As a result, most of the vineyard rows of the independent winegrowers, who manage every step from vine cultivation to bottle sale themselves, are grass-covered. The grapes are processed as gently and naturally as possible using a traditional Champagne press.
