Organic salmon fillet: Our organic salmon fillet with the Latin name Salmo salar comes from sustainable, antibiotic-free and GMO-free aquaculture in Scotland. The salmon come from sustainable farms in Scotland that have aligned their actions with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The farms follow the motto: what is good for the environment is also good for the salmon and their quality. Clean water, the best feed, plenty of space and consistent hygiene lead to healthy fish. Without any growth hormones, antibiotics or genetically modified organisms. The certified organic fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and proteins.
Argentine red shrimp, easy peel: One of the world's most sustainable fishing initiatives for wild shrimp has been developed off the coast of Patagonia. From the Andes to the Atlantic, Patagonia has a rich diversity of species. This includes the Langostino Patagonico. This cold-water shrimp lives in the pure waters off Patagonia, which are influenced by the ice-cold, nutrient-rich Antarctic polar current. The Latin technical term for the Argentine red shrimp is Pleoticus muelleri. The Argentine red shrimp was caught with trawls in the southwest Atlantic (FAO 41).
Octopus arms: The octopus, with the Latin term Octopus vulgaris, was caught with pots and traps in the Middle East Atlantic (FAO 34.1.31).
Scallops: Fishing is still sustainable here - Over the years, the Comeau family business has built up a reputation for quality and consistency. For over 60 years, the family business has been sailing the Canadian Atlantic around Nova Scotia to collect deep-sea scallops. The largest fishery for wild scallops takes place in eastern Canada, all the way down to the northeastern United States. Of particular importance to Comeau is the area off Nova Scotia around Georges Bank, one of the richest fishing grounds in the world. The abundance of scallops in Atlantic Canada is due to their healthy population and sustainably managed, quota-controlled fisheries. The scallop's scientific name is Placopecten magellanicus. The scallop is caught with trawls in the Northwest Atlantic (FAO 21).
