Origin

The Tristan lobsters are known in Latin as Jasus tristani . Their homeland is the coast of what is probably the most remote, inhabited island in the world, Tristan da Cunhas in the southeast Atlantic (FAO 47). The MSC-certified cold-water lobsters are sustainably fished there using pots and traps. The island's residents traditionally live from catching this delicacy. They know about the uniqueness of the lobster's habitat and protect it through strict catch quotas.
