Mussels in Garlic Sauce - A Flavorful Delight

The mussels come from the nutrient-rich waters of Galicia, a region in northwest Spain known for its excellent seafood. Carefully selected and processed directly, they impress with their delicate texture and fine, slightly salty aroma. Preserved in a clear, oil-based garlic-chilli sauce, they unfold their natural flavour particularly harmoniously. The flavorful marinade gives the mussels a pleasant spiciness and subtle garlic notes without overpowering their characteristic taste.

As a Mediterranean delicacy, these mussels are excellent as tapas, with toasted baguette, or as an aromatic addition to salads, pasta, or antipasti platters. Origin

La Narval’s gourmet preserves are produced in the Galician Ría de Arousa in northwestern Spain – a region that has been renowned for its high-quality seafood and long-standing canning tradition for generations. The Mediterranean mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) grow in the nutrient-rich waters of the Galician Rías in fishing area FAO 27, where the unique natural conditions allow them to reach excellent quality. They are traditionally harvested from so-called bateas – floating mussel rafts where the mussels are cultivated and collected with particular care. They are processed immediately after harvesting to preserve their delicate texture, characteristically fine flavour and high quality as much as possible. The range is completed by the unmistakable, colourful tins, which underline the premium gourmet character of the brand at first glance.
