The Tristan lobsters are known in Latin as Jasus tristani . Their homeland is the coast of what is probably the most remote, inhabited island in the world, Tristan da Cunhas in the southeast Atlantic (FAO 47). The MSC-certified cold-water lobsters are sustainably fished there using pots and traps. The island's residents traditionally live from catching this delicacy.
