The GOOD GROUPER fillet tips bring a fine fish flavor to your favorite dishes with ease. They come from the tail sections of the grouper and can therefore vary in shape and size. This does not change their mild, sweet taste or their firm yet tender texture – a delicious way to make use of more of the fish. Whether in an aromatic fish soup, a Mediterranean paella, or a creamy pasta dish: the fillet tips suit many recipes and add variety to your plate. Thanks to their sashimi quality, you can even enjoy them raw.

Product description

GOOD GROUPER fillet tips: fine fish for your favorite dishes

The grouper is a fish for anyone who appreciates fine flavors and a pleasant meat texture. Its white flesh tastes mild and slightly sweet, while its firm yet tender texture provides a pleasant mouthfeel. The delicate inherent flavor brings a characteristic fish note that pairs wonderfully with intense flavors: fresh herbs, lemon, and garlic highlight its subtle nuances, while spicy broths and aromatic sauces create exciting contrasts. GOOD GROUPER grouper fillet tips bring these qualities into your kitchen in a convenient form and are also suitable for raw consumption due to their sashimi quality.

GOOD GROUPER is raised in landbased aquaculture facilities by our sister company Oceanloop in Kiel. A closed water circulation system using RAS technology is employed. No antibiotics or chemical additives are used in the farming process. As a result, with GOOD GROUPER, the fish itself takes center stage: with white flesh, fine flavor, and a texture that makes it an exciting alternative to better-known food fish.

Preparing Grouper fillet tips: from fish soup to pasta

GOOD GROUPER fillet tips provide a refined fish flavor and a delicate texture to your favorite seafood dishes. In a creamy fish stew or a classic bouillabaisse, they complement the aromatic broth with a pleasant bite, while they add a sophisticated fish component to paella with rice, saffron, and vegetables. These pieces also pair excellently with pasta, such as with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and herbs, or in a light sauce with white wine. To ensure the meat retains its tender structure, add the fillet tips toward the end of the cooking time and heat them gently until cooked through. This makes them easy to incorporate into your favorite recipes and offers a simple alternative to whole fish fillets.

Perfect for:

Fish stews

Paella

Pasta dishes

Origin

The GOOD GROUPER (lat. Epinephelus lanceolatus), also known as the giant grouper, is raised in landbased aquaculture in Kiel. Instead of in the open sea, the fish grow in a controlled environment on land. This uses recirculating technology in which the water is treated and reused within a closed system. This so-called RAS technology (Recirculating Aquaculture System) enables farming independent of natural coastal waters.

The fish are raised using selected feed and a stocking density tailored to the holding conditions. In this way, the conditions in the breeding system are specifically controlled. No antibiotics or chemical additives are used in the breeding process. From the tank directly to your plate – that's how fresh fish can be!
