Der Spiegel recently embarked on a fascinating journey into the world of HONEST CATCH and Oceanloop to explore the emerging awareness of sustainability and environmental protection in relation to the purchase of seafood.
A comprehensive report has highlighted the importance of various factors that are crucial when choosing seafood products. These include not only fishing methods and areas, but also certifications that provide consumers with guidance.
Our shrimp farming was particularly emphasised. The editors of Der Spiegel were able to see for themselves the optimal breeding conditions for our Bavarian prawns, for which no antibiotics or chemicals are used. With an environmentally friendly approach to shrimp farming and a species-appropriate fishing process, we offer a regional alternative to imported seafood, which is available in our online shop at HONEST CATCH.
