with skin

22,99 €*

The meat of the catfish is white, almost boneless and very fatty: methods of preparation such as roasting or grilling, which fry out the fat using heat, are suitable here. After the spawning season and in late autumn it is suitable for poaching or steaming, as it is then lower in fat.

Aquaculture from Germany

Without antibiotics, no chemical additives, no glaze, no tricks

Best food appropriate to the species, stress-free and natural habitat

Product description

This catfish, often known as catfish, comes from Germany's largest breeding facility. The founder and boss of the facility is Hermann Otto-Lübke, a true autodidact who developed his facility himself over years of work with the aim of offering the animal a stress-free, natural habitat, even in a closed system. Just like we do with the Bavarian shrimp, he completely and consistently avoids any additives - just like in nature. The only difference: In nature, catfish likes to live in the brackish water of rivers, which often has a negative impact on the taste. The water quality in the facility, however, is so good that the farmed catfish has become a truly top product over the years. The animals live there for a maximum of twelve months and are characterized by white meat, good firmness and a pure, delicious taste. Try this regional specialty for yourself. How about bedded on May savoy cabbage?
