Value pack of char fillets: versatile, tasty, and raw enjoyable

Our char fillets offer a remarkable culinary range – they can be pan-fried, oven-baked, grilled or served raw, thanks to their sashimi quality. Their firm, fine texture and mild flavor harmonize with a variety of flavors – from classic lemon and herbs to Asian, Mediterranean, or Nordic interpretations. Origin

The Matorka Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus) belongs to the char genus (Salvelinus). It comes from sustainable, land-based aquaculture in Grindavik, Iceland.
Our Arctic char is farmed responsibly with the utmost care, taking into account the welfare of the fish and environmental protection. The health of the fish and the protection of our environment are our top priorities. The char are fed a first-class, sustainable, and GMO-free diet.
The production systems have been specially developed to ensure that the fish grow up in a stress-free environment. These systems minimize visual and physical contact with humans, enable natural shoaling behavior, and ensure a strong, circular flow that supports the healthy movement of the fish.
The water used for aquaculture consists of collected precipitation and natural snowmelt. The water is filtered and heated by the volcanic lava beds that make up the landscape in Iceland. 100 % clean geothermal electricity is used for the entire production process.
