250 g crab meat - 40 ml rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ground sesame seeds or 1 tbsp tahina (sesame paste)

40 ml soy sauce - 40 ml rice vinegar
- 30 ml sesame oil (unroasted, otherwise the flavour is too intense)
- 30 g sugar
- 1 to 2 romaine lettuces or a small endive
- 1 small, medium-ripe avocado
- ½ organic cucumber
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds to garnish
This Asian-inspired salad with our ready-to-cook crab meat is a special delicacy and is perfect as a light meal or a fine starter. The combination of tender crab meat, creamy avocado and an aromatic sesame dressing ensures an incomparable taste. Perfect for special occasions or a warm summer evening.
Preparation
- In a small bowl, mix together the rice vinegar, mayonnaise, ground sesame seeds or tahini, soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar until smooth.
- Wash the romaine lettuce or endive, spin dry and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Halve the avocado, remove the pit, carefully remove the flesh from the skin and cut into small pieces.
- Remove the seeds from the cucumber and cut into thin half-moons.
- Place the cooked and thawed crab meat into a large bowl.
- Add the prepared lettuce, avocado and cucumber slices.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and mix gently so that all ingredients are well covered with the dressing.
- Garnish with some sesame seeds to give the dish an extra crunch.
Tip: This recipe can also be prepared with other seafood such as our pre-cooked organic black tiger prawns . When using prawns , it is recommended to use a little more sesame seeds to enhance the nutty, refined taste.
